The official website for *Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World* anime has announced that Season 2 will be going on hiatus until further notice.
According to a statement from the production committee shared on X (formerly Twitter):
“Thank you for your ongoing support of *Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World* Season 2. We have decided to delay the broadcast and streaming of Episode 5 and subsequent episodes to ensure we maintain the quality of the series. We apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may cause our viewers who have been eagerly awaiting the new episodes.
The KimiSen 2 Production Committee will continue to collaborate with the original novel’s author, Kei Sazane, the editorial team, and the production studio. We are committed to delivering a product that meets the expectations of our audience. We appreciate your understanding and patience.”
Kei Sazane, the author of the original novel, also addressed the situation:
“I am truly sorry for any unease this delay may cause. However, the decision to postpone Season 2 is aimed at enhancing the quality of the series. We want to ensure that *KimiSen* continues to be an enjoyable experience for our fans. I am very proud of the current season, including the impressive opening and ending sequences and the exciting battle scenes. While there have been concerns about some of the animation quality, we are taking these seriously to make improvements. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.”
Due to the hiatus of Season 2, selected episodes from Season 1 will be re-aired in Japan, starting August 7. The second season is expected to resume from the beginning once it returns, with a schedule to be announced later on the official website.
