On July 31, Kaneko, known on X (formerly Twitter) as @kanegone_1006, announced that the Japanese voice cast had completed recording for Season 2. Kaneko expressed gratitude to the cast for their hard work and shared a commemorative “potion” gift from production partner Aniplex. They mentioned that “Season 2 is progressing rapidly” and encouraged fans to be patient for more details.

Solo Leveling is based on the popular web novel by Chu-Gong and is gaining traction in the dark fantasy anime genre. The series follows Jinwoo Sung, an 18-year-old who, after a near-death experience, gains the ability to dramatically increase his powers through a mysterious interface known as the System. This transformation turns him from “the world’s weakest Hunter” into one of its most formidable fighters.
Solo Leveling’s New Trailer Promises an Action-Packed Second Season for Jinwoo
The new trailer for Season 2 highlights Jinwoo’s upgraded abilities and his confrontation with a new adversary. To build excitement, Kaneko also shared 40 key animation frames from the trailer on social media. Producer Sota Furuhashi has promised that Season 2 will also focus on character development beyond Jinwoo, addressing fan requests for more depth following Season 1.
